Sol is a pendant light defined by a simple round form, white opal glass and satin-toned details. The 35 cm globe creates a clear but visually calm presence, making the pendant easy to combine with a wide range of interiors rather than tying it to one strongly defined style.
Its uncomplicated construction also keeps attention on the illuminated glass surface. Instead of exposed decorative light sources or a complex framework, Sol uses the opal globe itself as the main visual element.
Opal glass creates soft, even illumination
The Sol globe is made from opal glass. The white glass distributes the light from the E27 bulb evenly and reduces direct glare, making the pendant well suited to comfortable general lighting.
Because the bulb sits inside the opal globe, the illuminated glass surface becomes more prominent than the light source itself. This gives Sol a softer appearance when switched on and helps create an even visual impression from different viewing angles.
At 35 cm in diameter, the globe is large enough to read clearly as a single pendant while remaining straightforward to position above a dining area, seating arrangement or other furnishing group.
The fastening mechanism above the globe and the ceiling cup have a satin, brushed-steel-toned finish. This restrained metallic detail gives the white opal glass a subtle contrast without introducing a strong additional colour.
Choose the final light with an E27 bulb
Sol uses one E27 lamp holder with a maximum rating of 40 W. The bulb is not included.
The replaceable E27 format allows both luminous output and colour temperature to be selected according to the room. A warmer bulb can support relaxed living and dining spaces, while the output can be chosen to work with the surrounding lighting scheme.
The opal glass then softens the appearance of the selected light source and distributes its light evenly around the globe. The final brightness and colour of the light depend on the chosen E27 bulb.
Adjustable suspension for different ceiling heights
Sol has a 3-metre adjustable cord, providing generous flexibility when setting the final suspension height. This is useful both in standard-height rooms and in taller spaces where a longer drop is required.
The pendant uses ceiling-hook mounting and includes a luminaire plug. The combination of adjustable suspension and straightforward mounting makes it practical to position Sol in relation to the room proportions and any furniture below.
