Shadow is built around textile, light and a simple shade form. Its 50 cm shade is made from translucent fabric with fine pleating that creates an even sequence of vertical folds. When illuminated, light passes through the textile as well as the openings of the shade, allowing the fixture to distribute light around the surrounding space. When switched off, the pleated texture becomes the main visual feature.
Pleated fabric adds texture and depth
Shadow does not rely on a smooth, opaque lampshade. The translucent fabric is formed into light pleats, adding vertical rhythm across the entire shade.
The folds become more visible when the lamp is illuminated. Because the fabric is translucent, light is not restricted to the open sections of the shade but also glows through the textile itself. This gives Shadow a softer, multi-directional lighting effect suitable for general and atmospheric lighting.
With a 50 cm diameter, the shade has enough visual scale to work as a clear interior element above a dining table, seating area or other furnishing arrangement.
Black or white changes the character of the same design
Shadow is available in black and white. Both versions share the same proportions, pleated structure and translucent fabric, but the colour changes how prominently the pendant stands out in the room.
The black version gives the shade a stronger outline, particularly against light walls and ceilings. White creates a visually lighter appearance and can blend more quietly into pale interiors.
Choose the light with an E27 bulb
Shadow uses one E27 lamp holder rated for a maximum of 60 W. The bulb is not included.
The replaceable E27 format allows the final luminous output to be chosen according to the room and intended use. Colour temperature is also determined by the selected bulb, making it possible to coordinate Shadow with the surrounding lighting.
Because light remains visible through the translucent textile, the selected bulb’s colour temperature has a noticeable effect on the overall appearance of the shade when illuminated.
Adjustable three-metre suspension
Shadow has a 3-metre adjustable cord, providing generous flexibility when setting the final hanging height.
The pendant uses ceiling-hook mounting and includes a luminaire plug. When choosing the suspension height, the 50 cm diameter is worth considering so that the pleated shade has enough clear space around it and remains visually balanced with the furniture below.
