Description
Cap is a linear pendant designed to illuminate an elongated surface. Five glass shades are arranged along the same horizontal body, distributing the light from several points across the table or work area below. This makes the fitting particularly relevant for kitchens and dining areas where the shape of the lighting should follow the furniture beneath it.
A key feature of Cap is the way its frosted glass shades control the light. They reduce glare from the sides while allowing bright illumination to travel directly downwards. The result combines practical table lighting with a calmer visual experience when the fitting is viewed from around the room.
- Linear form works naturally above a dining table
- Frosted glass shades effectively reduce glare to the sides
- Bright light is directed efficiently downwards
- Five light sources distribute illumination across a long area
- Adjustable wires make suspension height easy to customise
- Satin chrome and opal glass create a clean appearance
Five points of light above a long table
A linear pendant can distribute light along a longer area more effectively than a single centrally positioned light source. Cap uses five separate GY6.35 bulbs arranged across its horizontal body.
This makes the design particularly useful above a dining table. Light reaches the surface from several positions rather than being concentrated around one central point. The same principle makes Cap practical in a kitchen where the fitting can follow the direction of an elongated surface.
Its simple horizontal shape also reinforces the lines of a long table or other straight-edged furniture without relying on elaborate decorative elements.
Frosted glass reduces side glare
The glass shades are designed to reduce glare effectively when the fitting is viewed from the side. This is especially valuable above a dining table, where a pendant often sits within the natural field of vision of people seated around it.
At the same time, the shades allow bright light to pass directly downwards. The lighting is therefore clearly functional: the surface below receives useful illumination while the visible brightness from the sides is softened.
Opal glass works with the satin chrome finish to create a restrained, coordinated appearance. The design is defined by the rhythm of the five shades and its long horizontal form.
Adjustable suspension for flexible positioning
Cap hangs from adjustable wires, allowing the suspension height to be adapted to the table and room. This makes it easier to position the fitting where the direct downward light works effectively while the lamp remains comfortable within the space.
The fitting uses screw mounting at the ceiling. Five compatible GY6.35 bulbs are required and are not included, so the light sources are selected separately within the permitted maximum wattage.
Cap is well suited to anyone looking for a long linear pendant above a dining table or kitchen surface and who values bright downward illumination combined with glass shades that reduce glare from the sides.
