Description
- Steel-coloured frame creates a clear vertical silhouette
- Glass decorative tube adds detail around the stem
- Black fabric shade defines the upper part of Rome
- White inner laminate contrasts with the black shade
- E27 lamp holder allows a replaceable light source
- 173 cm height gives Rome strong visual presence
The Rome Floor Lamp is defined by three clearly different material elements. A steel-coloured frame creates the tall structural base, a decorative glass tube surrounds the stem, and a black fabric shade completes the upper section. Inside the shade, a white laminate provides a distinct contrast to the dark exterior.
At 173 cm high and 55 cm in diameter, Rome is designed to be seen as part of the interior. It works naturally beside a sofa, armchair or other furnishing group where there is enough space for its full height and width.
Steel-coloured frame with a glass decorative tube
The tall frame is made from steel and finished in a steel colour. A glass decorative tube positioned around the stem introduces a second material without hiding the metal structure underneath.
Rather than making the design heavily decorative, the glass tube adds a restrained layer to the long vertical stem. The transparent material keeps the steel-coloured structure visible and gives the central section of the lamp more depth.
Rome also has a sturdy construction suited to the scale of a 173 cm floor lamp.
Black fabric shade with a white interior
The upper section of Rome is finished with a black fabric shade. Its dark textile surface creates a clear contrast with the steel-coloured frame and the glass tube around the stem.
The inside of the shade has a white laminate finish. The difference between the black exterior and white interior becomes particularly visible when the lamp is viewed from slightly below.
Fabric also introduces a softer material alongside the steel and glass. Rome therefore gains its character from the combination of metal, transparent glass and textile rather than from a single surface or finish.
Select the final light with an E27 bulb
Rome uses one E27 lamp holder rated for a maximum of 40 W. The bulb is not included.
The replaceable E27 format allows the final luminous output to be selected according to the intended use. A lower lumen output can provide softer evening light, while a brighter bulb can be chosen when more illumination is required within the 40 W maximum rating.
Colour temperature is also determined by the selected bulb, making it easy to coordinate Rome with the surrounding lighting. The power switch is positioned on the cord.
Rome lighting for floor and table use
The Rome range includes both Floor and Table Lamps. The two formats share the use of steel and glass, allowing the same design language to continue at different levels within an interior.
The Floor Lamp brings Rome to a 173 cm freestanding format for use beside furniture, while the Table Lamp offers the same family character in a smaller version for furnishing surfaces.
