The Rome Table Lamp is defined by the combination of steel, glass and textile. A steel frame in a steel-coloured finish creates the clear vertical structure, while a glass decorative tube around the stem adds a distinctive second material. A black fabric shade completes the upper section, with a white inner laminate providing a strong contrast to the dark exterior.
At 50 cm high and 35 cm in diameter, Rome has enough scale to become a visible part of the interior while remaining suitable for a furnishing surface. It works particularly well on a side table, console or bedside table where the full shape of the lamp can be appreciated.
Steel and glass give the stem its distinctive structure
The Rome frame is made from steel and finished in a steel colour. A decorative glass tube surrounds the stem, introducing a second material into the otherwise clean vertical structure.
The tube gives the stem a layered appearance without making the design visually busy. Steel and glass remain the defining materials of the body, allowing the lamp to stand out through its construction rather than through elaborate ornamentation.
Rome also has a sturdy construction, a practical quality for a table lamp used regularly on a side table, bedside table or console.
Black fabric shade with a white inner laminate
The upper section of Rome is finished with a black fabric shade. The textile surface introduces a softer material alongside the steel and glass and gives the lamp a clearly defined upper silhouette.
The shade has a white inner laminate. The contrast between the black exterior and white interior is an important visual detail, particularly when the lamp is viewed slightly from below.
With a diameter of 35 cm, the shade is well proportioned to the 50 cm high lamp. Rome therefore works best on a surface where there is enough surrounding space for the full shade and body to remain visible.
Choose the final light with an E27 bulb
Rome uses one E27 lamp holder rated for a maximum of 40 W. The bulb is not included.
The replaceable E27 format allows the final luminous output to be selected according to the intended use. A lower lumen output can create softer evening or supplementary lighting, while a brighter bulb can be selected when more illumination is required within the 40 W maximum rating.
Colour temperature is also determined by the selected bulb, making it easy to coordinate Rome with the surrounding lighting. The power switch is positioned on the cord.
Matching Rome design for floor and table use
The Rome range includes both Table and Floor Lamps. The same material language continues across the two formats, making it possible to use Rome at different levels within the same interior.
The Table Lamp brings the design to a 50 cm format for furnishing surfaces, while the Floor Lamp extends the same character into a taller freestanding fixture beside furniture.
