Flamingo LED is designed around directional task lighting. The Flamingo range combines LED light sources with good directionality to provide useful illumination for work requiring precision rather than relying solely on broad general lighting. The wall-mounted version brings this functionality into a particularly compact 10 x 10 cm body.
The fitting projects 23 cm from the wall, bringing the light point closer to the area being illuminated without occupying desk or floor space. This makes Flamingo a practical option where focused supplementary lighting is required from a fixed wall position.
Compact wall-mounted task lighting
Flamingo measures only 10 cm high and 10 cm wide. It therefore occupies very little wall area, while its 23 cm depth extends the light away from the wall towards the point of use.
Good directionality is one of the defining features of the design. The light can be aimed towards the working area, allowing Flamingo to function as local task lighting alongside the room’s general illumination. The product is specifically intended for work that requires precision.
Wall mounting also keeps desks and floors clear. This makes the fitting especially useful where a fixed directional light is preferred but a large wall lamp would be unnecessary.
Integrated 3 W LED with 4100 K light
Flamingo contains one integrated 3 W LED light source, which is included with the fitting. No separate bulb needs to be selected or purchased. The colour temperature is 4100 K.
4100 K is cooler than the warm 2700–3000 K light commonly used for domestic ambient lighting. In Flamingo, this complements the task-oriented nature of the fitting. When it is used alongside warmer light sources, the difference in colour temperature is worth considering as part of the complete lighting scheme.
Body-mounted switch and the Flamingo lighting family
The power switch is located directly on the body of the fitting. This keeps the control close to the point of use and makes the wall light straightforward to switch on and off.
The fitting is made from aluminium. Its restrained material and compact construction support a functional design in which directionality and task lighting remain the main priorities.
