The Tupla Table Lamp is centred around a two-layer fabric shade that gives the design its recognisable depth. Rather than using a single straight-sided shade, the overlapping sections create a more dimensional profile. At 60 cm high and 40 cm in diameter, Tupla is a visibly substantial table lamp designed to form a clear part of the interior rather than disappear into the background.
A two-layer shade creates visual depth
The defining feature of Tupla is its layered fabric shade. The two sections create a broader, more dimensional upper form and soften the visual presence of the bulb when the lamp is viewed from the side.
With a diameter of 40 cm, the shade has generous proportions for a table lamp. Tupla therefore works best on a surface with enough space around it for the full layered form to remain visible. A wide side table, console or similar furnishing surface gives the lamp room to establish its shape.
The 60 cm overall height lifts the shade well above the surface below, giving Tupla a strong vertical presence as part of the room’s furnishing.
Three distinctive shade options
Tupla is offered in three versions: white fabric, black fabric and sand-coloured linen. All three use the same matt satin body finish.
The white version creates the lightest overall appearance, while the black shade provides stronger contrast against surrounding pale surfaces. Sand linen offers a warmer, more natural-looking textile option.
Because the structure and dimensions remain the same, the choice is primarily about how strongly the shade should contrast with the surrounding furniture, walls and textiles.
Select the light with a replaceable E27 bulb
Tupla uses one E27 bulb with a maximum rating of 60 W. The bulb is not included, allowing the final colour temperature and luminous output to be chosen according to the room and intended use.
A warm-white LED bulb can support softer evening lighting, while a higher-output bulb can provide stronger supplementary illumination within the fixture’s permitted rating. The replaceable E27 format also allows the lighting character to be changed later without replacing the lamp itself.
The fabric shade reduces the visual dominance of the bulb compared with an open fixture, allowing the choice of bulb to focus primarily on the desired light colour and amount.
Matt satin finish completes the design
The body has a matt satin finish that provides a restrained metallic counterpoint to all three textile options. Its neutral appearance leaves the two-layer shade as the most prominent part of the design.
The power switch is located on the cord, keeping daily operation simple. Together with the replaceable E27 bulb, this gives Tupla a straightforward lighting structure in which the shade, textile surface and selected light source define the final character.
