Tradition is a pendant light based on a simple round silhouette and a carefully restrained combination of metal and wood. At 40 cm in diameter and 24 cm high, it has enough scale to define an area such as a dining table while retaining relatively low proportions that keep the surrounding space visually open.
Metal and wood define the Scandinavian character
Tradition is available in two finishes. The white version combines white metal with light wood, while the black version pairs black metal with dark wood. The contrast between these materials forms the main visual feature of the design.
The white and light-wood option works naturally with pale interiors and light timber surfaces. The black and dark-wood version creates a deeper, more contrasting appearance.
Because the form itself remains restrained, the difference between metal and wood becomes an important part of the pendant’s character rather than an additional decorative detail.
A clean pendant for dining and living spaces
Tradition can be used above a dining table and in living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms. It is also suitable for public interiors including restaurants and offices. Its 40 cm diameter gives the pendant enough presence to work as a single ceiling light over a defined furnishing area.
The 24 cm high shade keeps the proportions broad rather than tall. This is useful where a visible pendant is wanted without introducing a deep shade into the room.
Replaceable E27 LED bulb
Tradition uses one E27 lamp holder with a maximum rating of 15 W LED. The bulb is not included, allowing the final colour temperature and luminous output to be selected according to the room and surrounding lighting.
A warm-colour LED bulb can support dining and living areas, while the required luminous output can be selected within the fixture’s maximum rating. The replaceable format also allows the bulb to be changed later without replacing the pendant.
Adjustable suspension for flexible placement
The pendant has a 3-metre adjustable cord, giving generous scope for setting the final hanging height. This makes it possible to adapt Tradition to different ceiling heights and to the furniture positioned below it.
The fixture uses ceiling-hook mounting, while the Finnish product specification also includes a luminaire plug. This gives Tradition a straightforward installation arrangement for a compatible ceiling connection.
