Description
- Three glass shades create a balanced decorative composition
- Gradient glass changes from nearly clear to reflective smoked
- Matt black body emphasises the changing glass tones
- Three E27 sockets provide separate points of light
- Adjustable cord makes suspension height easy to tailor
- Matching Leeds Table Lamp continues the same glass design
Leeds is defined by three curved glass shades with a distinctive vertical gradient. The lower section remains almost clear, while the glass becomes darker and more reflective towards the top. A matt black body frames the composition and lets the glass surfaces remain the main visual feature.
The three-shade structure gives Leeds presence from several viewing angles. It works naturally where the pendant itself is intended to contribute to the interior, such as above a dining area or as a central light in a living space. The dark palette remains visually light thanks to the translucent glass.
Gradient glass changes from clear to reflective
The defining detail of Leeds is its curved glass shade. At the bottom, the glass is almost clear. Moving upwards, the finish becomes darker and more reflective, creating a smoked-chrome gradient effect without printed decoration or an opaque surface.
Using three identical shades creates a coherent composition. Reflections and light move differently across the curved surfaces depending on the viewing angle, giving the pendant depth both illuminated and switched off.
The black-silver glass works particularly well where a darker ceiling light is wanted without the visual weight of three solid metal shades. Transparency remains part of the overall appearance.
Three E27 light sources within the glass shades
Leeds takes three E27 bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 40 W. The bulbs are purchased separately. Having a separate light source within each shade distributes illumination through all three parts of the pendant and highlights the curved gradient glass.
Replaceable E27 bulbs allow the light sources to be selected for the intended setting and changed later without replacing the fitting. Because the lower part of each shade is almost clear, the appearance of the bulb also contributes to the finished look.
Using three matching bulbs helps maintain a consistent colour and brightness across the complete pendant. This supports the balanced visual relationship between the individual shades.
Adjustable suspension for flexible placement
Leeds has a three-metre adjustable cord, providing useful flexibility when setting the suspension height. The pendant can therefore be positioned in relation to the ceiling height and the furniture or area below. The English version uses hook mounting.
The grouped three-shade form works particularly well where the pendant can be viewed from several directions. Its compact circular arrangement also makes it easier to use over a defined furniture area than a long linear pendant.
The Leeds family also includes a one-light table lamp. It repeats the matt black body and gradient smoked glass, allowing the same visual language to continue at furniture level.
