String LED is built from two differently sized illuminated rings connected by black fabric cords. The larger lower ring measures 60 cm across, while the upper ring is 42 cm in diameter. Together they form a 34 cm high composition in which the two rings remain clearly separate rather than appearing as one continuous illuminated surface. The fabric cords are not merely technical connectors but form a visible part of the structure between the two rings.
The combination of black metal and textile-like fabric cord gives String LED a strong graphic outline while retaining an open structure.
Two light rings create an open composition
The main visual feature of String LED is its pair of differently sized rings. The larger lower ring measures 60 cm across, while the upper ring is 42 cm in diameter. Their different scales give the pendant a layered appearance rather than the symmetry of a single LED hoop.
The open centre and visible spacing between the rings keep the fixture visually lighter than a solid 60 cm shade. This makes String LED suitable for areas where the ceiling light should have presence without creating a closed volume above the room.
At 34 cm high, the two rings remain relatively close together, forming one coherent pendant rather than a long multi-level installation.
Metal and fabric cord define the material character
String LED combines metal and fabric cord. The metal rings create the main illuminated structure, while the black cords connect them and become a visible part of the design rather than disappearing into the suspension.
The pendant is black throughout, so the contrast comes from material and structure rather than from different colours. This keeps the overall appearance consistent while allowing the cords and rings to remain visually distinct.

Integrated 54 W LED with warm 3000 K light
The pendant has an integrated 54 W LED light source with a colour temperature of 3000 K. The warm white light is produced directly by the two illuminated ring elements, making the lighting technology an integral part of the visible form.
The fixture is suitable for residential spaces including living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms, as well as offices and commercial interiors.
The light output can be adapted through TRIAC dimming, allowing the same pendant to support both brighter everyday illumination and a softer evening setting.
TRIAC dimming and adjustable suspension
String LED is TRIAC dimmable. Brightness can therefore be adjusted according to the room and activity, while the recommended TRIAC dimmer is Schneider Exxact WDE002299.
A 3-metre adjustable cord provides generous flexibility when setting the final hanging height. This makes the pendant practical in both standard and taller ceiling conditions.
The fixture uses ceiling-hook mounting, and the Finnish configuration includes a luminaire plug. Together with the long adjustable suspension, the installation allows the two-ring form to be positioned in proportion to the space below.
