The Wave Pendant Light uses the form of its glass shade to shape both its appearance and the way it illuminates the surrounding space. Instead of a smooth surface, the white glass is formed into pronounced waves. When switched on, the sculpted surface becomes more visible and the shade distributes light evenly around the fixture without glare.
Sculpted white glass defines the Wave design
The characteristic element of the Wave family is its wave-shaped white glass shade. The three-dimensional surface gives the fixture visual depth without relying on separate decorative elements.
The form becomes particularly noticeable when illuminated. Light passes through the shaped white glass and spreads around the shade rather than being concentrated only directly below the pendant. This creates a more surrounding lighting effect while reducing glare.
The combination of satin and white glass keeps the palette restrained. With the glass shape providing the main visual detail, the fixture does not need strong colours or additional ornament to establish its character.
Compact 33 cm diameter and 21 cm height
Wave measures 33 cm in diameter and 21 cm high. These proportions give it a relatively compact pendant profile, with the sculpted glass rather than sheer size creating its visual impact.
The shade is wider than it is high, giving Wave a broad, low silhouette. This makes the form distinctly different from long, narrow glass pendants and places the emphasis on the horizontal wave pattern.
The dimensions also make it easy to coordinate the pendant with the Wave Table Lamp and Wave Floor Lamp, which repeat the same distinctive glass language at different heights within an interior.
Three E14 bulbs illuminate the glass shade
Wave uses three E14 bulbs with a maximum rating of 40 W. Bulbs are not included. The three-light construction provides multiple light sources inside the 33 cm glass shade.
Replaceable bulbs allow the colour temperature and luminous output to be selected according to the room and preferred lighting character. The light sources can also be replaced later without changing the fixture itself.
Because even, glare-free distribution is one of Wave’s defining lighting characteristics, the selected bulbs can be coordinated with the colour temperature of the surrounding lighting.
A coordinated Wave lighting family
Wave belongs to the Design by Grönlund collection. The family includes the Wave Pendant Light, Wave Table Lamp and Wave Floor Lamp, all linked by the distinctive wave-shaped white glass.
