Parasol 65 brings an open, sculptural approach to pendant lighting. Nine curved metal elements extend around the fitting and support ten integrated LED light points. The result has a three-dimensional appearance with some of the visual character of a contemporary chandelier, while avoiding a traditional chandelier structure.
Its 65 cm diameter gives it substantial presence without visually closing off the space around it.
The two finishes give the same form noticeably different expressions. Black emphasises the graphic outline of the curved structure, while the gold-coloured version creates a lighter and warmer visual appearance.
A sculptural structure with ten points of light
Nine curved elements extend across the 65 cm diameter and support ten integrated LED light points. Their arrangement gives Parasol a three-dimensional appearance that changes as the fixture is viewed from different angles.
The multiple light points also give the pendant a character reminiscent of a contemporary chandelier without using a traditional chandelier structure.
Its 65 cm width works particularly well where the pendant is intended to form a clear visual centre, such as above a dining table, in a living area, office or workspace.
Integrated 10 x 3.7 W LED lighting
Parasol 65 uses ten integrated 3.7 W LED light sources. They are built into the fixture and included, so separate bulbs are not required. The colour temperature is 3000 K.
At 3000 K, the light has a warm white appearance suited to dining and living areas as well as offices where a warmer colour temperature is preferred.
The ten LEDs are also a visible part of the design. Rather than being concealed behind one conventional shade, the light points form part of the open sculptural composition.
TRIAC dimming for adjustable lighting
Parasol 65 is TRIAC dimmable, allowing the light output to be adjusted in a compatible installation. This makes it possible to move from a brighter setting to more subdued illumination without changing the fixture.
The recommended dimmer is Schneider Exxact WDE002299. DALI is also available as an option for installations requiring DALI control.
This flexibility is particularly useful above a dining table or in a living area where the required light level may change throughout the day.
Black or gold-coloured metal finish
Parasol 65 is made from metal and is available in black or gold-coloured finishes. Product number 135365-05 identifies the black version, while 135365-1845 identifies the gold-coloured model.
The pendant has a 3-metre adjustable cord, providing generous flexibility for different ceiling heights and installation positions. It uses ceiling-hook mounting and a luminaire plug.
The adjustable suspension is particularly practical above dining or work tables, where the relationship between the pendant and the surface below is an important part of the final installation.
