The Flyer Ceiling Light brings the clean circular design of the Flyer family close to the ceiling. It is particularly useful where a suspended pendant would take up too much vertical space or where a more compact ceiling installation is preferred. Its simple form allows it to function as practical general lighting without adding visual complexity overhead.
Part of the Design by Grönlund collection, the ceiling-mounted Flyer follows the same minimalist design language as the pendant version. The reduced drop makes it a practical alternative for rooms with lower ceilings while maintaining the recognisable Flyer appearance.
Close-to-ceiling lighting for limited vertical space
The main practical benefit of Flyer Ceiling Light is its low-profile construction. It occupies little vertical space, helping preserve clearance beneath the fitting in rooms where ceiling height is limited.
Its circular shape and uniform light surface create a calm appearance at ceiling level. The matt black version defines the outline more strongly, while matt white gives the fitting a lighter, more discreet visual character against a pale ceiling.
Flyer is suitable as general lighting where an even and efficient spread of light is needed. Interior applications for the Flyer family include kitchens and office spaces, supporting its role as a practical everyday ceiling light.
Integrated LED with warm 3000 K light
Flyer has an integrated 32 W LED producing 1530 lumens. The light source is included, so there are no separate bulbs to purchase or fit. The light is designed to spread evenly, making the fitting suitable for general illumination.
The colour temperature is 3000 K, giving the light a warm white appearance. This makes Flyer suitable where practical illumination is needed without moving towards a cooler white colour.
The integrated LED also supports the fitting’s slim, uninterrupted form. With the light source built into the luminaire, the circular design remains visually clean.
Dimmable light for changing situations
Flyer is TRIAC dimmable and the Schneider Exxact WDE002299 is a recommended dimmer. DALI dimming is also available as an option.
Dimming allows the same ceiling fitting to support different lighting levels. Output can be increased when stronger general light is required and reduced when a softer lighting level is preferred.
The fitting uses hook mounting. The Finnish product version also specifies a ceiling plug. A matching Flyer pendant is available when the same design language is wanted in a suspended format rather than close to the ceiling.
