Sugar is a linear pendant built around four individual shades arranged across an 85 cm wide structure. Rather than concentrating illumination in one central point, the four-light format spreads the light sources along a longer area. This makes the fixture particularly relevant above rectangular or narrow tables and worktops.
The design combines pale porcelain shades with brushed steel. Decorative slots cut into the shades create the most distinctive visual detail and become particularly noticeable when the light is switched on.
Cut-out porcelain makes light part of the design
Each of the four Sugar shades features decorative cut-out slots. Light can pass through these openings, making the pattern visible from the side while the shades also direct illumination towards the surface below.
This works particularly well above a dining table or other furnishing surface because the light does not disappear entirely inside the shades. The illuminated cut-outs remain visible as part of the pendant itself.
White porcelain and brushed steel keep the overall palette restrained. The decorative character comes primarily from the pattern of the shades and the repeated sequence of four light points rather than from strong colour contrasts.
Four replaceable E14 light sources
Sugar uses four E14 lamp holders with a maximum rating of 40 W per bulb. Bulbs are not included. The replaceable format allows the final luminous output and colour temperature to be selected according to the intended setting.
Because the four bulbs are distributed across an 85 cm width, the light sources follow the elongated form of the fixture rather than gathering at one central point.
For dining areas, the colour temperature can be coordinated with the other lighting in the room. Above a worktop, the selected bulbs can be chosen according to the amount of light required on the surface.
A linear shape for tables and worktops
At 85 cm wide, Sugar naturally follows the line of a rectangular table, narrow table or worktop. The horizontal arrangement keeps the four shades together as one visually coherent pendant while distributing the light points along the surface below.
The same structure can also work in other locations where several light sources are required in one continuous horizontal group. Repeating four matching shades keeps the design orderly across its full width.
Adjustable suspension for practical positioning
Sugar has a 2-metre adjustable cord and suspension wire. This allows the hanging height to be set according to the ceiling height and the table or worktop below. The fixture uses screw mounting at the ceiling.
Height adjustment is especially useful above tables, where the final position influences both how the light reaches the surface and how open the sightline remains across the room.
