- Vertical proportions create presence without excessive horizontal width
- Choose smoked glass or warm champagne-coloured glass
- Replaceable G9 LED bulbs are selected separately
- Long adjustable suspension also suits higher ceiling spaces
- Hook mounting provides a practical ceiling installation solution
Glasgow 5 Vertical takes the spherical glass shades that define the Glasgow family and arranges them in a vertical composition. Five globes sit at different levels around the central body, giving the pendant a layered and three-dimensional appearance. Compared with the wider Glasgow models, its narrower format creates visual impact through height rather than an extensively spreading structure.
The vertical arrangement is especially useful when a pendant is intended to make a visible statement without occupying a very broad area overhead. Open space between the glass globes keeps the fitting visually light despite its five separate points of light.
Five spherical shades create a vertical rhythm
The central design feature of Glasgow 5 Vertical is the way its five spherical glass shades spiral down the body of the pendant. Rather than sitting on one horizontal level, the shades are distributed vertically, creating the characteristic silhouette of this model. This clearly differentiates it from the three-light Glasgow 3 and the large, widely spread Glasgow 9.
Repeating the same rounded glass form keeps the composition coherent, while the spaces between the shades prevent the fitting from becoming visually solid. The pendant remains interesting from different viewing directions because each globe occupies its own position around the body.
Glasgow 5 Vertical is particularly relevant for anyone who likes globe lighting but prefers a vertical pendant to a broad horizontal arrangement.
Smoked glass or champagne-coloured glass
Two distinct colour combinations are available. Smoked glass shades are paired with a black frame for a darker, more graphic appearance. The second version combines champagne-coloured glass with a brass-coloured frame, creating a warmer palette.
The shape and technical construction are the same in both versions, so the choice can be made according to the colours and contrast wanted in the surrounding interior. Black emphasises the vertical lines of the frame, while the brass-coloured version introduces a warmer metallic tone alongside the glass.
The same colour combinations continue through the Glasgow pendant family, making it possible to select different sizes and configurations without changing the basic visual language.
Replaceable G9 LED bulbs
Glasgow 5 Vertical takes five G9 LED bulbs with a maximum wattage of 5 W each. The bulbs are not included, so compatible light sources are selected separately. The maximum bulb diameter is 19 mm, an important detail when choosing suitable G9 LEDs for the fitting.
Replaceable bulbs can be renewed later without replacing the complete pendant. Selecting the bulbs separately also allows compatible G9 LED light sources to be chosen according to the desired lighting characteristics.
The five individual light sources sit at different levels within the vertical glass composition, so illumination comes from several positions rather than one central point.
Adjustable suspension for different ceiling heights
The pendant hangs from an adjustable cord and wire. The generous suspension length makes it possible to adapt Glasgow 5 Vertical to standard room heights as well as higher ceilings, where the fitting can be brought further down into the space.
Glasgow 5 Vertical uses hook mounting, and the Finnish version includes a ceiling plug. It suits anyone looking for a vertically arranged glass pendant with five light points, replaceable G9 LED bulbs and a choice between a dark smoked-glass colourway and a warmer champagne-and-brass-coloured combination.
