Toronto 1 is built around a simple but recognisable silhouette. Its white metal body widens into a trumpet-like form, while the white chintz shade continues the light monochrome palette above it. The curved base gives the lamp its individual character without making the overall design visually complicated.
A trumpet-shaped metal body defines the silhouette
The Toronto 1 body is made from white metal and has a distinctive trumpet-shaped profile. Its wider lower section provides visual balance, while the narrowing upper section keeps the 70 cm tall lamp relatively slender.
White continues from the body into the shade, creating a calm monochrome composition. This makes Toronto 1 easy to integrate into an interior where a generously sized table lamp is wanted without introducing a strong additional colour.
The lamp measures 35 cm in diameter. Its proportions give it clear presence on a furnishing surface, making it suitable where the table lamp is intended to contribute to the interior as well as provide light.
White chintz softens the metal construction
The shade is made from white chintz fabric. Its textile surface provides a softer visual counterpart to the metal body and distributes light into the surrounding space.
Toronto 1 can be placed on a side table, console or another sufficiently generous furnishing surface. Its 70 cm height is worth considering when positioning it near shelves, artwork or other taller decorative elements.
The all-white colour scheme keeps the focus on the contrast between the curved metal body and the textile shade rather than on multiple materials or colours.
Select the light with a replaceable E27 bulb
Toronto 1 uses one E27 lamp holder with a maximum rating of 60 W. The bulb is not included, allowing the final colour temperature and luminous output to be chosen according to the surrounding lighting.
A warm-colour E27 bulb can create softer evening light, while a higher-output bulb can provide more supplementary illumination within the fixture’s maximum rating.
The replaceable format also makes it straightforward to adjust the lighting later. The power switch is located on the cord, keeping everyday operation simple.
Toronto 1 and Toronto 2 share the same base
The Toronto range includes two table lamp versions. Toronto 1 has the cone-like shade 8740-011 while Toronto 2 uses cylinderical shade.
The two models offer a choice of shade design while retaining the same white metal base and the restrained visual language of the Toronto range.
