Palace is built around a small number of carefully defined elements: smoked glass, a wavy silhouette, a chrome ceiling cup and a long fabric-covered cord. Its dimensions are compact, but the irregular glass surface gives the pendant a more expressive character than a simple smooth globe.
With a diameter of 18.5 cm, Palace is easy to position where a large pendant would feel unnecessarily dominant. Its presence comes primarily from the shape and tone of the glass rather than from sheer size.
Wavy smoked glass shapes both form and light
The defining feature of Palace is its wavy smoked-glass shade. Instead of forming a completely smooth and symmetrical globe, the glass has a flowing outline that gives the pendant a softer, more organic silhouette.
The shaped glass also affects the way the light appears around the fixture. Its wavy surface diffuses the light, allowing the illuminated glass itself to become part of the visual effect.
A chrome ceiling cup provides a polished contrast to the darker smoked glass. The restrained smoked-glass and chrome palette keeps the focus on the unusual shape of the shade.
Slender proportions for flexible placement
Palace measures 18.5 cm in diameter. The compact size makes it a lighter visual choice for areas where a wide pendant would take up too much space.
Its narrow dimensions leave plenty of open space around the fixture and make the glass form easy to appreciate as a distinct detail within the room.
Because the wavy glass is the defining design feature, Palace benefits from a position where the complete shade remains clearly visible.
E27 bulb lets you define the final light
Palace uses one E27 lamp holder rated for a maximum of 60 W. The bulb is not included.
The replaceable E27 format allows the final luminous output and colour temperature to be selected according to the surrounding lighting. The character of the light can therefore be changed later simply by replacing the bulb with another compatible E27 source.
As the light source remains visible through the smoked glass, the appearance of the bulb also contributes to the overall look of the pendant.
Three-metre fabric cord for adjustable suspension
Palace has a 3-metre fabric-covered cord that can be adjusted to the required hanging height. The generous length also makes the pendant suitable for higher spaces where a longer suspension is needed.
The fixture uses ceiling-hook mounting and includes a luminaire plug. A chrome ceiling cup completes the suspension at ceiling level and visually connects with the smoked-glass shade below.
