Layer 1 is built around a single clean ring of light. Its slim circular form keeps the pendant visually light, while the acrylic diffuser distributes the integrated LED illumination smoothly. Layer works in homes, offices and hotels where effective general lighting is needed without introducing a visually heavy ceiling fitting.
Two sizes make it easier to coordinate the pendant with both the scale of the room and the required light output. The smaller version provides a more restrained presence, while the larger ring delivers substantially more light. Both use the same colour temperature, keeping the light tone consistent across the range.
Layer 60 or Layer 80?
Layer 60 is the more compact single-ring version. Its integrated 30 W LED produces 2400 lumens. It works well where the distinctive circular design is wanted without the larger proportions or higher output of Layer 80.
Layer 80 increases both diameter and illumination. Its 40 W LED produces 3200 lumens, making it suitable for a larger space or an area where the pendant is expected to contribute more strongly to the general lighting. The larger ring also gives the fitting greater visual presence overhead.
Both versions use a 3200 K colour temperature. Choosing between them is therefore primarily a question of scale and light output: Layer 60 is more compact, while Layer 80 provides a larger illuminated ring and higher lumen output.
Adjustable ring creates different compositions
The Layer suspension uses three-metre adjustable wires. This generous adjustment range makes the pendant useful in high-ceilinged interiors as well as more conventional room heights. The ring can be positioned at a height that works with the space and the furniture below.
The ring itself can also be tilted. This gives the single pendant a more flexible visual character. A horizontal position emphasises the pure circular geometry, while an angled ring creates a more dynamic composition.
This adjustability supports a wide range of placements. Layer can work above dining and living areas, while its smooth general illumination also makes it relevant for offices and hotel interiors.
Smooth 3200 K LED light with dimming
The integrated LED light passes through an acrylic diffuser, producing soft and evenly distributed illumination with reduced direct glare. The broad ring therefore works primarily as a general light source rather than a narrow directional spotlight.
Layer 1 is TRIAC dimmable, allowing the brightness to be adjusted in a compatible installation. DALI control is also available as an option for projects where the pendant needs to become part of a DALI lighting-control system.
The combination of integrated LED technology, specified lumen output and adjustable brightness makes the two Layer sizes straightforward to compare when planning the lighting of a room or project.
Matt black, white or brass-coloured
Both sizes are available in matt black, matt white and matt brass-coloured finishes. Black gives the ring a strong graphic outline, while white creates a lighter visual connection with pale ceiling surfaces. The matt brass-coloured version gives the minimalist circular form a warmer overall expression.
The finish does not change the size-specific lighting performance, so diameter and lumen output can be chosen first and the colour selected separately according to the interior.
Layer 1 belongs to the same family as Layer 3 and Layer 4. The single-ring Layer 1 is the most restrained version, while the larger family models combine three or four differently sized rings in one pendant.
