Layer 4 is the flagship model of the Layer family. Four differently sized LED rings form a multi-level pendant whose appearance can be changed through their arrangement. The restrained circular geometry keeps the design visually light despite its generous scale and very high light output.
It is particularly suited to interiors where the ceiling light is intended to become part of the architecture and furnishing. Its substantial luminous flux also makes Layer 4 a powerful lighting solution rather than a purely decorative feature.
Four rings arranged to suit the space
Each Layer 4 ring has its own adjustable suspension. The rings can therefore be positioned at different heights, either grouped more closely together or separated into a clearly layered arrangement. This flexibility helps the large pendant respond to the proportions and ceiling height of the room.
The rings can also be tilted individually. Horizontal rings emphasise the clean circular geometry, while varied angles create a more sculptural composition. The same pendant can therefore have a calm, structured appearance or a more dynamic character.
Three-metre suspension wires provide generous adjustment range. Layer 4 can be used in high-ceilinged spaces and brought down to a visually suitable level. Giving the fitting sufficient surrounding space allows the full four-ring composition to remain clearly visible.
9440 lumens of powerful illumination
The integrated LED has a total power of 118 W and produces 9440 lumens. Layer 4 can therefore make a substantial contribution to the general lighting of a large space. The four illuminated rings also make the light itself a defining part of the pendant’s graphic form.
The colour temperature is 3200 K, giving the light a warm yet clear tone. Together with the high output, this makes Layer 4 suitable where both effective illumination and a visually prominent ceiling feature are required.
TRIAC dimming provides useful control over the strong output. The pendant can be used at higher brightness when effective lighting is needed and dimmed for a calmer atmosphere. Schneider Exxact WDE002299 has been tested with Layer. DALI dimming is available on request.
Matt black, white or brass-coloured
Layer 4 is available in matt black, matt white and matt brass-coloured finishes. Black gives the rings a strong graphic outline and emphasises their layered arrangement. White creates a lighter visual presence and can integrate more quietly with pale ceiling surfaces.
The matt brass-coloured version brings a warmer tone to the minimalist ring structure. It retains the clear modern geometry while giving the four-ring composition a more decorative colour character.
Lighting performance and adjustability remain the same across all three finishes. The colour can therefore be selected according to the interior without changing the output or technical functionality.
The flagship of the Layer family
Layer 4 is the largest four-ring model in the Layer family. Layer 1 interprets the same circular idea with a single illuminated ring, while Layer 3 combines three differently sized rings. Layer 4 extends the concept to four rings and the highest output in the family.
It suits customers looking for a large contemporary LED pendant that can be visually configured to suit the room. Individually adjustable rings, powerful illumination and dimming make Layer 4 both a practical lighting solution and a defining interior feature.
