Glasgow 9 takes the signature spherical glass-shade design of the Glasgow family to its largest scale. Nine light points extend from long arms, creating an open and three-dimensional pendant rather than one broad enclosed shade. The spaces between the globes help maintain a lighter visual character despite the generous overall size.
This makes Glasgow 9 particularly effective where a pendant is intended to be clearly visible from different directions. As the largest model in the series, it has a substantial presence and benefits from an interior where its broad structure has room to be seen.
Nine glass shades spread across long arms
Spherical glass shades define the Glasgow family. In Glasgow 9, the form is repeated nine times to create a rhythmic arrangement around the fitting. Long arms carry the individual light points across the composition and emphasise the pendant’s broad silhouette.
The open construction provides visual scale without becoming a single solid mass. Space remains visible between the globes, helping the pendant retain the airy quality that characterises the Glasgow design.
Glasgow 9 is the largest pendant in the family. Glasgow 3 offers a lighter three-light alternative, while Glasgow 5 Vertical arranges five shades vertically around its body. The three models therefore offer different proportions while maintaining the same recognisable spherical-glass theme.
Smoked glass or champagne-coloured glass
Two colour combinations give Glasgow 9 distinctly different characters. Smoked glass is paired with a black frame for a darker and more graphic appearance. Champagne-coloured glass is combined with a brass-coloured frame, creating a warmer overall palette.
The dimensions and construction remain the same in both versions. The choice can therefore be based on the colours and level of contrast wanted in the surrounding interior.
The same colour combinations continue across Glasgow 3 and Glasgow 5 Vertical. This makes it easier to use different Glasgow pendant sizes in separate spaces while retaining a consistent visual language.
Nine replaceable G9 LED bulbs
Glasgow 9 takes nine G9 LED bulbs. The bulbs are not included and are selected separately. Compatible bulbs must remain within the specified maximum diameter, which is worth checking before purchasing the light sources.
Replaceable bulbs can be renewed later without replacing the complete pendant. Nine separate light points are distributed throughout the wide structure, matching the open composition of the fitting.
Adjustable suspension for taller spaces
The cord and suspension wire are adjustable. Their generous length gives flexibility when positioning the pendant and allows Glasgow 9 to be installed in higher ceiling spaces as well as more conventional room heights.
